Hello......today I thought I would share some before and after pictures. I'm a very visual person.....and I love seeing before and after pictures in other blogs.  It shows you how much potential there is for old unique things.

A plain wood bread box transformed into a shabby chic beauty.
Here I painted and distressed....then added lace to the insert for hanging earrings and put 5 hooks under the shelf for hanging necklaces on.
Here again was on old BROWN shelf.....but it had such lovely lines and detail.  Shabby it up and it has a new life.
This wren house painted white, distressed and added  decoupage roses cut out from wallpaper.
A plain outhouse for extra toilet paper.

Old brown suitcase painted white, distressed and decoupaged old sheet music inside.

I hope this has inspired you to transform an old treasure you might have hanging around. Enjoy and good luck with your project!

Hello

Again...it's been a while since I posted anything.  I'm keeping busy, but forget to post projects when they are finished.  Today I will share a few before and after projects.  And maybe a few things I finished.

This is a cute little table I found in the fall. To top was metal/enamel, but it had lots of rust around the edges.  So I decided to decoupage it!

Here are a few pictures on how it turned out.  I was really happy with the end result.  I'm now using it in the back of the shop for my computer table.  But it's really not big enough.  When I find a replacement, it will be for sale in the shop.
Before: A beautiful maple end table.
After:  All shabby and chic!

Above are some projects I finished, that I forgot to take before pictures of....sorry.

I hope to get more projects finished in the next few weeks.  And I will try hard to remember to take BEFORE pictures.

Until next time......Dream big!

Hello Everyone and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Sorry I've haven't been blogging, but I have been very busy.  I've moved my shop "Vintage Treasures" from Whippletree Junction, Duncan, BC to the town of Chemainus, BC on Vancouver Island.  I'm still getting organized. So I haven't had much time to work on projects. I think some early mornings and late nights are in order!
Here is one project I finished today.  Yahoo!

Here are some pictures of the new shop.

This is Ernie who usually visits the shop everyday along with my Mom and Dad!

Well I better get back to work.
Wishing you all a wonderful day!

Today I'd like to share with you a sleigh make over.

I found this sleigh "treasure hunting" this past summer.  I knew she had potential.
This is how she turned out after a few coats of homemade chalk paint, distressing and wax.
I filled her up with some pretty shabby chic Christmas items.
Pretty birdcage

Wishing everyone a Happy and Safe weekend!

Today I just wanted to share some before and after pictures of some projects I've been working on.
This is a little vintage cart & wooden blocks I found. I already gave it a coat of primer before I remembered to take a picture.
I gently distressed the cart and decoupaged this cute picture in the bottom.
Then I cut out, antiqued & decoupaged vintage looking paper to the blocks.  I really like how it turned out.
I found this at a thrift shop.  I liked the wood hearts.  There were 4 of them.
This is the heart after I decoupaged it and edged it with silver glitter.
Before
After
Well I hope these might inspire you to re-purpose something.

TGIF!  I just want to share a before and after project with you today.
I found this in my Fall/Halloween tote box last month.  I don't even know when I got it.  I must have liked the little window frame!
I took it all apart and these are the 2 pieces I could use. I gave them both a coat of  "Crisp Linen" paint.
Here is the finished project.  I did reverse decoupage graphic from graphicsfairy.blogspot.ca for the hanging sign. Decoupaged some vintage sheet music paper to a small baby food jar and wired it to the window frame.  This can be used any time of the year.

Then on the reverse side of the sign, I decoupaged some Christmas paper, put a little holly in the jar and it can be used at Christmas.
I hope this will inspire you to repurpose something.

Have a Great long weekend!
